22 Yr Old Woman Pleads Guilty To Bar Assault
Appearing in Magistrates Court earlier this week, Tishae Davis, 22, pleaded guilty to unlawfully assaulting another woman at a Hamilton bar on Front Street in July 2014, with the Court hearing the defendant allegedly spat on her, and that Ms Davis sent tweets about the incident following it.
The Prosecutor told Senior Magistrate Archie Warner that Ms Davis had initiated the assault by first pushing the complainant and yelling at her. When the complainant turned around, she was struck by Ms Davis. As a result of injuries sustained, the other woman required medical attention at KEMH and received stitches to her face.
Ms Davis was later arrested and on being questioned by police, she admitted the assault. The Prosecutor also pointed out that Ms Davis had gone on Twitter and had described what she had done to the complainant.
Asked to explain her actions, Ms Davis told the Magistrate, “She spat on me.”
The Senior Magistrate ordered a Social Inquiry Report and set sentencing for October. Ms Davis was granted $2,000 bail and required to provide one Surety.

The charge in that case was GBH and involved a weapon.
