BFA Premier & First Division Weekend Results

The 2014/15 football season is fully underway, with a host of matches taking place islandwide over the weekend.

First Division: Boulevard Blazers 3 – St. David’s 0

At the Police Field, the Boulevard Blazers went in front against visiting St. David’s in the 42nd minute when Dunn-ya Taylor found the back of the net. Tiaevince Douglas made it 2 – 0 to the home team with a goal in the 54th minute and then Ian Coke scored in the 65th minute to earn the Boulevard Blazers the 3 – 0 win.

First Division: X’Roads 1 – Devonshire Colts 1

At the Garrison Field, the Devonshire Colts went ahead in the 40th minute when Vernon Lambe headed in from a corner, but in the 57th minute Tymon Daniels equalized for X’Road’s as the two teams played to a 1 – 1 draw.

First Division: Young Men Social Club 1 – Paget Lions 0

After a scoreless first half at Bernard Park, Kenneth Butterfield scored in the 52nd minute to earn the Young Men Social Club a 1 – 0 win over Paget.

First Division: Ireland Rangers – Somerset Eagles: No Game

At Malabar, there was a shortage of officials, hence the match was postponed.

Premier Division: North Village Rams 2 – Hamilton Parish 0

After a scoreless first half at the Bernard Park, the North Village Rams went ahead in the 51st minute through a Tyrell Burgess header, and Demetri Daniels doubled the lead in the 64th minute to earn the North Village Rams a 2 – 0 win over Hamilton Parish.

Premier Division: St. George’s Colts 3 – Dandy Town Hornets 2

At the Wellington Oval, the St. George’s Colts took an early lead with a goal from Justin Denbrooke, but Clay Darrell would draw the visiting Dandy Town Hornets level midway through the half, however minutes later the St. George’s Colts would go back in front when Macai Simmons scored from the penalty spot.

In the 55th minute the game was level at 2 – 2 when Jahnazae Swan equalized for the Dandy Town Hornets, but just as it was looking as if the teams would share the points, Mackie Crane scored in injury time to give the St. George’s Colts a 3 – 2 win over the defending League Champions Dandy Town Hornets.
