Akeyla Furbert’s Overtime Goal Earns The Win
Bermuda’s Akeyla Furbert scored in overtime to push her University of South Carolina Aiken team to a 2-1 victory over Flagler earlier this week.
Aiken scored a goal midway through the second half to tie the score and Akeyla Furbert ended the match just seconds into overtime as the Pacers earned a 2-1 victory at Flagler.
The University of South Carolina team are now 5-5-2 overall, including a 3-2-1 record against conference competition.
Last month Furbert scored twice as the University of South Carolina Aiken Women’s soccer team rallied from a two-goal deficit at halftime to come from behind and defeat Lenoir-Rhyne 3-2.
