BELCO: 138 Customers Remain Without Power

October 31, 2014

BELCO said that we start today [Oct 31] with 138 customers without power, adding that crews are expected to be able to work through over half of them by later tonight, with crews working island-wide, moving from one job to the next.

A spokesperson said, “Today, we would also like to again request that everyone who does not have power yet to phone 955 to report your outage. Please use the 955 automated system, putting in your phone number to record the outage. If you cannot leave an automated message, please speak to the Operator.

“We are doing this to ensure that we have captured all individual outages in our Outage Management System.

“We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and the patience of all of our customers throughout restoration after two storms. We are especially grateful for the support shown to our crews, including the CARILEC crews who continue working through long days and nights to restore power Island-wide.”
