Man Admits Stealing Over $16K Of Jewellery
After pleading not guilty and being remanded into overnight custody, Ajani Albouy-Lovell, 23, and Kierron Spencer, 24 , reappeared at this morning’s [Dec 30] Plea Court – with Albouy-Lovell pleading guilty.
Yesterday, the pair had denied being involved in a St George’s daytime burglary that saw over $15,000 in jewelry taken on 23 December; a same day daytime burglary in Knapton Hill that netted over $1,700 in jewelry; and being away from their abode and possessing burglary tools in the form of socks, a hammer, and a screwdriver.
On reappearing this morning, Albouy-Lovell changed his plea and plead guilty to the burglaries.
Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo ordered Social Inquiry and BARC reports on Albouy-Lovell and remanded him into custody until his sentencing date of 19 February. Spencer was given a trial date in January 2015 and was further remanded into custody until that date.
