January 11, 2015

The Jubilee Sailing Trust has revealed that it has received bursary funding that will allow “a few lucky people” to sail aboard the tall ship Lord Nelson on voyages from the Bahamas to Bermuda, and from Bermuda to Southampton via the Azores.

The Lord Nelson visited Bermuda in July 2014 as it sailed on its way from Anguilla to Halifax.

In a post on social media, the Trust said, “We have received bursary funding for people in Bermuda to sail with the Jubilee Sailing Trust’s tall ship Lord Nelson on her fantastic Bermuda voyages.”

The Lord Nelson’s July 2014 visit to Bermuda:

“The first trip will be from the Bahamas to Bermuda from February 21 to March 6, and the second trip will be from Bermuda to Southampton via the Azores from March 11 to April 11.

“Usually priced at £1,495 and £2,495 respectively, a few lucky people won’t have to pay a penny for their voyage.

Lord Nelson is one of only two accessible tall ships in the world that was designed and built to accommodate a wide range of physical abilities, so you will become a vital part of the crew no matter your capabilities.”
