Tennis: Day #5 ITF Tournament 2015 Results
The 2015 Bank Of Bermuda Foundation ITF Junior Circuit Tournament continued at the WER Joell Tennis Stadium, with two Bermuda Players emerging as Champions in the Under 14 Division.
Richard Mallory III won the Boy’s Under 14 Division defeating Benjamin Jones in straight sets 6-1, 6-1, while Imani Phillips won the Girls Under 14 Division defeating Lauren Way in the Final in straight sets 7-6, 6-3.
Jones and Amir Thomas won the Boys Under 14 Doubles Division with a walkover Mallory III and Tego Bean.
The Under 18 Girls number seed Naomi Waters advanced to the Semi-Finals with a straight sets victory over Elizabeth Mandlik 6-1, 6-3, she will face Kate Paulus who defeated Katie LaFrance in straight sets 6-0, 6-3.
Under 18 Boys Singles number one Stephen Koenigfest needed three sets to defeat Beau Pelletier to advance to the Semi-Finals, Koenigfest won the first set 6-3, but fell 4-6 in the second set before closing out winning the third set 6-2. Maxwell Mendelsohn also advanced to the Semi-Finals with a straight sets 6-4, 6-2 win over Ignacio Ascarrunz.
