Charman Prize Exhibit Highlights Award Winners
As a prelude to the Charman Prize Exhibition, the host has created a group show in the Rick Faries Gallery that will run from September 11 through Sepember 23, featuring recent work by the artists who have won awards in the 2008 – 2013 Charman Prize exhibitions.
The show will feature works by Jacqueline Alma, Libby Cook-Toppan, Vaughan Evans, Graham Foster, Desmond Fountain, Jon Legere, Susan Pearson, Dany Pen, Juliz Ritchie, Teresa Kirby Smith, Alan Smith, Andrew Stevenson, Amanda Temple, Molly Godet Thomas, and Sharon Wilson.
A spokesperson said, “There has been a wide variety of different media and styles recognized over the previous six Charman Prizes and we are eager to highlight the scope and talent within Bermuda that has been displayed through this event over the years.
“With this exhibit we aim to represent the previous winners with a recent example of their work. The dynamics and contrast of these artists and their featured pieces truly showcase the diversity of our art community.”
