Football: First, Premier & Corona Division Results

St. George’s Colts, X-Road’s, Flanagan’s Onions, North Village Rams, PHC Zebras, Robin Hood, West End United, and North Village Rams all walked away with wins in this weekend’s Premier Division, First Division and Corona League football action.

First Division: Somerset Eagles 2 Wolves 2

At the White Hill Field, the visiting Wolves got an injury time penalty to earn a draw with the Somerset Eagles. Steven Bremar gave Wolves the lead in the 38th minute, but Kanhai Fray would draw the Somerset Eagles level with a goal in the 63rd minute, twenty minutes later Fray struck again to put the Somerset Eagles ahead, but player-coach Torry Davis would convert from the spot as the teams shared the points.

First Division: St. George’s Colts 3 Paget Lions 0

At the Wellington Oval, the St. George’s Colts defeated the visiting Paget Lions 3 – 0. Jarazhino Bassett gave the home team the lead in the 34th minute, Maccai Simmons would double the lead in the 43rd minute as the St. George’s Colts would take a 2 – 0 lead into the break. Jarreau Hayward would make it 3 – 0 to the home team as they would take all three points.

First Division: X-Road’s 5 Ireland Rangers 1

X-Road’s would pick up their first win of the season with a 5 – 1 win over Ireland Rangers. Khomeini Talbot would give X-Road’s the lead in the 20th minute, he would double the lead fourteen minutes later. Jamin Furbert made it 3 – 0 to X-Road’s in the 49th minute, in the 68th minute it would be 4 – 0 to X-Road’s when Kijuan Wilkinson scored, Ireland Rangers would pull a goal back when Henry Santucci scored in the 82nd minute, but Rico Beek would restore the four goal lead when he scored in the 90th minute.

First Division: BAA 0 Young Men Social Club 0

This match scheduled for the BAA Field was called off due to a waterlogged field.

First Division: Flanagan’s Onions 4 St. David’s 3

The Flanagan’s Onions have moved to the top of the First Division Standings following their 4 – 3 win over previous leaders St. David’s at the BAA Field.

The Flanagan’s Onions got a hat-trick from Treshun Smith and a single strike from Peter Robey, while Angelo Cannonier scored twice for St. David’s and Dano Outerbridge added the other.

Premier Division: North Village Rams 3 Robin Hood 2

North Village Rams Goalscorers Lewis & Lee at the Bernard Park, the North Village Rams defeated Robin Hood 3 – 2. Jason Lee opened the scoring for the North village Rams with a lob over an advancing Jason Simons in goal for Robin Hood, Keston Lewis would double the lead for the North Village Rams when he found the back of the net in the 32nd minute. Lejuan Simmons pulled a goal back for Robin Hood when he scored in the 43rd minute as the teams went to the break with the score 2 – 1. Lewis would score his second goal of the game in the 67th minute to give the North Village Rams a 3 – 1 lead, but Shaun Brown would draw Robin Hood within one when he scored in the 86th minute, but Robin Hood could not find the equalizer.

Premier Division: Somerset Trojans 1 PHC Zebras 6

At the Somerset Cricket Club, Casey Castle recorded a hat-trick inside the first 30 minutes to set the tone for this Premier Division match that saw the PHC Zebras defeat the defending champions Somerset Trojans 6 – 1. Castle found the back of the net in the 11th, 15th and 27th minute and then Julian Carpenter made it 4 – 0 to the PHC Zebras with a goal in the 31st minute. Justin Corday pulled a goal back for the Somerset Trojans when he converted from the penalty spot as the PHC Zebras took a 4 – 1 lead into the break. Shakir Smith made it 5 – 1 when he scored in the 56th minute and then in the 85th minute Cecoy Robinson scored a screamer to make it 6 – 1.

Premier Division: Hamilton Parish 1 Southampton Rangers 1

At the Wellington Oval, Chris Caisey gave Hamilton Parish the lead in the 12th minute. Jakai Dyer equalized for the Southampton Rangers in the 65th minute as the two teams shared the points.

Premier Division: Boulevard Blazers 0 Devonshire Cougars 0

The Boulevard Blazers and the Devonshire Cougars played to a scoreless draw at the Police Field.

Premier Division: Dandy Town Hornets 0 Devonshire Colts 0

This match scheduled for the St. John’s Field was called off due to a waterlogged field.

Corona League: Flanagan’s Onions 1 Lock N Key 1

The Flanagan’s Onions and Lock N Key shared the points in this 1 – 1 draw, Keith Szmeirek scored the goal for the Flanagan’s Onions, while Kyle Lightbourne scored for Lock N Key.

Corona League: Robin Hood 3 BAA 2

Robin Hood got a hat-trick from Matt Clingerman as they defeated BAA 3 – 2, Wayne Chapman and Logan Phillips found the back of the net for BAA.

Corona League: West End United 2 Vasco 1

West End United defeated Vasco 2 – 1 in their hard fought match, West End United got a goal from Trevor Corday and Andre Outerbridge, while the lone Vasco goal came from Mark Ooi.

Corona League: North Village Rams 5 Tuff Dogs 1

Matthew Madeiros and Ralph Bean scored two goals each in the North Village Rams 5 – 1 win over the Tuff Dogs, John Barry Nusum added the other, while Jason Simons scored the lone goal for the Tuff Dogs.
