Details are limited at this time, however we unofficially understand that the nature of the problem was electrical and that the plane will remain on island for the night.

Update: BMOC said, “Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre received a telephone call from New York ATC advising that a ‘Gulfstream V’ Aircraft with 5 persons onboard had declared an emergency due to an electrical fault on board and was diverting to Bermuda, arriving at 01:35am.

“Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre initiated a page of all airport emergency personnel including the Airport Duty Officer, Airport Fire & Rescue, and local Air Traffic Control who arrived on scene a short while later. At 1:40am the aircraft landed safely in Bermuda and was taken aside for further inspection.”
