Fire Alarm Activated At Airport, Protocols In Place
Emergency personnel can be seen at the airport this afternoon [April 28] and traffic is being restricted in the area, with the protocols being put into place in the “abundance of caution” following the activation of a fire alarm.
Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines confirmed that a fire alarm was activated at the airport, and said in the “abundance of caution all of the requisite protocols have been put in place, with airport personnel, the Bermuda Police Service and the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service carrying out standard operational procedures.”
Totally disorganized no one to tell us what to do for the firts five minutes. All the workers continued as normal like the alarm was not going off. I was confused.
if there a fire alarm and you are up top in the lounge, do you have to re-clear US customs if you exit the building?? OR if you arrive and the alarm goes off and you run out with your bag after youve cleared immigration but not customs, do you have to go back in? I wont say anymore….thats a interesting move if someone did it to get one through.
