Photos/Video/Results: BNAA Track & Field Meet

Sixteen year old Sakari Famous set a new Bermuda National Junior Record today [April 30] when she competed in the U18 Girls High Jump at the BNAA Track & Field Meet hosted by DASH Track Club at the National Sports Centre in Devonshire.

The 1.80m leap edged over the previous 1.79m record held by LaTroya Darrell and Zindzi Swan for over ten years. Sakari’s jump also matches the 1.80m Bermuda National Record set by Zindzi Swan in 2005.

Lakray DeGrilla placed first in the Girls 100 Meter Dash U13 with a time of 13.97 while Marli Butterfield took second in 14.07 and Kaylin Davy placed third in a time of 14.10.

In the Boys 100 Meter Dash U13, Chayse Tanner took first place in a time of 13.13 while their was a tie for second between Saj Carey and J’Auza James who ran a time of 14.65.

Jazae’ Smith won the Girls 100 Meter Dash U18 with a time of 13.27 while Jai-La Wade took second in 13.34 Zekiah Lewis placing third in 13.39. All of today’s results can be found below.
