  1. Encyclopedia says:

Such a distractive approach (pretending to be transparent) by the government to showcase this inconsequential expense, while being very opaque on big ticket items.

Like this is going to get them any brownie points !!

In the early part of the OBA administration, we all fell for this ” so called transparency”, but not any more.

    • Why are you bitching? When the Progressive Labour Party ran up them large “bills” why hadn’t we heard any noise from you or your kind? Inquisitive minds would love to know?

I take strong exception to your comment.

I have been in Bermuda for the past 2 and half years. I am no fan of the previous government or this one. I am not a member of either party. Whenever I see the government taking us citizens for a ride, I try to point them out.

When someone says “we are being taken for a ride” and your argument is “Oh, but the previous government took us for a bigger ride”, it is a very skewed logic.

As citizens, we must demand that we “not be taken for a ride” regardless of whether the government is PLP or OBA or X or Y or Z, otherwise all of us are doomed.

  2. Travel arrangements please! says:

I went to San Diego last year and my trip certainly cost more than $2,146.55. Maybe Minister Gibbons could open up a travel agency because I would certainly have him make my travel arrangements! Better still maybe he could be put in charge of the government’s finances
