FMG Restoring Front Street Offices After Fire
Freisenbruch-Meyer Group said that it is undergoing an extensive restoration project at its offices, located at 75 Front Street in Hamilton; with plans to reopen the location to the public early next month.
The property received widespread smoke and water damage, as well as structural harm to its roof after the devastating fire on July 21.
In the meantime, Freisenbruch-Meyer has been fully operational and servicing clients in a temporary location in the Chubb building, located at 17 Woodbourne Avenue in Hamilton.
President Michael Freisenbruch said: “I’ve had the opportunity to walk through and assess the damage to our Front Street office.
“Although from the outside it looks like we were relatively unscathed by the recent fire, being on the inside tells a completely different story.
“In the grand scheme of things our damage was nothing compared to the destruction experienced by some of our neighbours. Our hearts are still with them at this time, as we quietly and diligently work to rebuild our offices.”
Mr. Freisenbruch extended his thanks to Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service for their courageous efforts to put out the blaze two weeks ago.
He also sent his gratitude to Applied Computer Technologies [ACT] for swiftly responding to the crisis. The IT firm responded promptly and efficiently enabling Freisenbruch-Meyer to have all systems fully operational whilst ensuring that client records and data were safe.
“I also want to thank our partners Chubb, who have graciously opened their doors to us in the interim so we can continue to service our clients at the high level they expect,” Mr. Freisenbruch said.
“We are greatly appreciative of Chubb’s hospitality and for their team and staff who have been a key partner in our success. Thanks to their support – along with the speedy delivery of the Freisenbruch-Meyer disaster recovery plan – we were able to see our first clients at 9:00am the morning after the tragic incident.
“Last, but certainly not least, we want to thank our valued clients for their continued business during this time.
“They have been extremely patient with us and we appreciate every kind word of support and encouragement that we’ve received from supporters, business partners and the wider community as a whole.”
