Court: 80-Year-Old Denies Threatening Words

September 19, 2016

Appearing in Magistrates Court, an 80-year-old man was granted bail after he denied uttering threatening words.

Leon Tacklyn pleaded not guilty to uttering threatening words to another person in July 2016.

The charge alleged that in St George’s, Mr Tacklyn had said to that person: “I’ve been watching you. Gonna’ get you one of these days. Better watch your back.”

Magistrate Archie Warner set trial for January 2017 and granted Mr Tacklyn bail at $1,000.
