PechaKucha Bermuda Set For November 4
PechaKucha Night Bermuda will be held on Friday, November 4 at the St. Georges Cricket Club from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
This is the second time Pechkucha will take place in St. George’s, and is also the second time it has partnered with BEDC. The organizers who volunteer their time to bring these events to various venues all over Bermuda are Nicky Gurret, Aideen Ratteray Pryse, and Najib Chentouf.
The organizers are looking for a few more presenters; if interested, contact Nicky Gurret at gurret@northrock.bm.
Nicky Gurret said, “We are extremely excited about holding Pechakucha Bermuda at the St. George’s and bringing the event to the East End of the island again.
“PechaKucha Nights were started in Japan and have a 20×20 presentation format where each speaker shows 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images. Since there is no pausing or going back, speakers have no choice but to keep to their allotted time.
“Following each presentation is a 3 minute 40 second Q&A session with the audience.”
Doors open at 6.30pm and presentations begin at 7.00pm. There will be a cash bar and dinner available to purchase. Admission is free and all are welcome.
