Sunday October 23rd: “Good News” Spotlight
News that the PHC Foundation awarded $32,500 in scholarships, Channel 4 interviewed Bermudian actor Earl Cameron, the Salt Spray Soap Shop opened its second location in Dockyard, and Bermuda won at the CEA Regional Jumping Challenge were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
Other good news stories included an author and artist teaming up for the ‘Bermuda Blessings’ book, over 40 yachts expressing interest in the Antigua Bermuda Race, Saltus exceling at a Canadian football tournament, and Mitchell Campbell being named to the Liberty League honour roll.

In additional good news, Fairmont Southampton announced its ’3-3-1 Culinary Challenge’, Digicel is offering a free trip to Las Vegas via its music app, Ryan Parris was named Subway Player of Game in Canada, Kamau Leverock won the Newport 2016 Scorers Award and the Bermuda U20 World Cup team defeating St Kitts and Nevis 3 – 1.
