BF&M Breast Cancer Awareness Walk Today

Despite the weather, BF&M has confirmed that the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk is still set for this evening, marking the 20th anniversary of the event.

Walkers will begin to gather from 5.00pm in Barr’s Bay Park next to the BF&M building. Speeches on the stage will begin at about 5.35pm.

Mrs. Pamela Dunkley [Patron of Breast Cancer Awareness Month], Minister Jeanne Atherden [Minister of Health and Seniors], John Wight [President and CEO of BF&M Limited] and Tara E. Curtis [Executive Director of Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre] will be in attendance, with Nikita Robinson MC’ing the event.

A spokesperson said, “We expect record numbers of Walkers this evening and are very excited to welcome a team of family and friends of Oracle Team USA, who are raising money for the cause.

“Please join us at this important event, which engages the whole Bermuda community in raising funds and working together in the fight for detection, prevention and treatment of breast cancer.

“The Walk will be kicked off by mystery special guests – come to Barr’s Bay Park this evening to find out who they are.”
