Two Motorcyclists Injured In Collision In Paget

A 43-year-old man and a 48-year-old man each received a “serious leg injury” following a two vehicle collision in Paget this morning [Oct 19].

A police spokesperson said, “Around 8:30am today [Oct 19] police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Tribe Road No. 5.

“Details remain unclear at this time. However, it appears that a motorcycle and an auxiliary cycle being ridden in opposite directions along South Road between Elbow Beach and Coral Beach collided.

“The rider of the motorcycle, a 43 year old Sandys parish man apparently received a serious leg injury while his pillion passenger, a 37 year old Warwick woman, was not injured.

“The auxiliary cycle rider, a 48 year old Sandys parish man, was also said to have sustained a serious leg injury.

“Morning commuters in that area experienced traffic diversions and delays while the relevant police personnel processed the scene.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses that have not already come forward should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
