Photos: BCHS Men’s Health Screening Event

The Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre hosted their annual Men’s Health Free Screenings today [Nov 17] at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on King Street in Hamilton, with men from around the island invited to attend for the sake of awareness, prevention, and education, with physicians and nutritionists available for brief consultations.

This event provides free services for men who are uninsured or underinsured, with those attending gaining access to screenings including blood pressure, blood glucose, foot exam, lung function, body composition, and more.

    Good to see men taking interest, especially men of African descent, there needs to be a study off why Western African descendants have a high % of diseases, we know partially through History from a poor diet (as slaves recieved de poorest qualities of food which became part of our cultural diet) with de addition of substance abuse to help to stimulate the mental stress that we endured for decades ( which is a poor excuse), but there have been some underlying Genocidal activity that has been in effect that most people dont know about.
