70-Year-Old Woman Injured In Car Collision

A 70-year-old Devonshire woman was treated and discharged from hospital following a collision in Paget on Saturday.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 2:20pm on Saturday, March 18th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle car crash on Middle Road in Paget near the junction with Chapel Road.

“It appears that a 70 year old Devonshire woman was travelling along Middle Road when the vehicle she was driving struck a utility pole, causing damage to the car and apparently minor injuries.

“The injured Devonshire woman was initially tended to by Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service personnel before being transported via ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and discharged later that same day.

“The vehicle involved was subsequently towed from the scene and witnesses that have not already come forward should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
