Kardias Club Donates $11,000 To Hope Academy
The Kardias Club has donated $11,000 to the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy, thanks to the proceeds from their annual wine tasting, held at Urban Cottage, and their annual Tea with a Twist event, held at the Fairmont Southampton.
A spokesperson said, “The Kardias Club felt privileged to be able to support the children who attend the school, by raising monies for technological upgrades.”
“Attending the presentation were Kardias President Susan Adhemar, Vice President Sandra Scott, Treasurer Pauline Richards, Secretary Shawnette Smith, Cherie Burgess, Shoshana Williams, Valerie Nearon, and Karen McPhee Williams.”
“Also in attendance was Mr. Lopez, Treasurer of Friends of Hope, Joy Todd, Acting Principal, Margaret Philips, Deputy Principal, the staff of Hope Academy, and the very special students.”
