Hockey Results: Sweden, Canada, USA Win

The PCC Hockey Rink came alive yet again as a total of 35 goals were scored during a Bermuda Inline Ball Hockey Triple Header, with each game being decided by a single goal.

Sweden 5 Canada 4

It was a nine goal thriller in the opening match of the evening with Sweden edging Canada 5 – 4. Sweden got single strikes from Mark Heintzman, Matthew Benson, Baby Jackson, Mathieu Desjardins and Marsan, while Canada got four goals off the stick of Jeremy Estey.

USA 5 Canada 6

This game needed a shootout to be decided with Canada defeating the USA 6 – 5. Shawn McKee and Pete Brodsky scored 2 goals each for Canada in regulation time with Richard Campbell adding the other, while Andrew Curnow, Brian White, Henric Ehrenblad, James Amaral and Ian Beaudoin all scored a goal each for USA. In the shootout a strike from Canada’s Ryan Wilson made the difference.

USA 8 Sweden 7

USA was able to record a 8 – 7 win over Sweden in the final game of the night to ensure that each team picked up a win. Shannon Gosse led USA with a hat-trick, while Amaral, Derek Farmer, Josh Bush, Jeffrey Ingelman and Curnow all added a goal each. Canada got 2 goals off the stick of David Provost to go along with single strikes from Benson, Jackson, Desjardins, Heintzman and Marsan all added a goal each.
