Basketball Winter: Chargers & Tsunamis Win
Yet another Bermuda Basketball Association’s Winter League sponsored by One double header took place inside the Somersfield Academy Gymnasium saw 276 points scored.
Game One saw the Devonshire Chargers defeat the Paget Flyboys 85 – 72. Kevin Stephens led the Devonshire Chargers to victory with 29 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assist, while Akil Smith scored a game high 37 points for the Paget Flyboys, he added 4 rebounds, 3 assist and 2 steals.
Game 2 saw the Somerset Tsunamis defeat the Hamilton City Twisters 67-52, the Somerset Tsunamis were led by Jason Simons who scored 18 points, he had 3 assists and 2 steals, while the Hamilton City Twisters got 15 points from Steve Brown-Darrell, he would also have 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals and 1 block shot.
