Court: Man Admits Stealing Bags, Leg Of Lamb
A 62-year-old man has admitted stealing meat and plastic bags from Lindo’s.
Briene Jones hid two legs of lamb under his jacket and stole 100 plastic bags before exiting the Warwick supermarket on January 23.
Jones was later identified on the store’s CCTV cameras stealing the meat and arrested at his home in Southampton.
He was questioned by police and admitted stealing the lamb because he had “fallen on hard times.”
At Magistrates’ Court this morning Jones was released on bail and ordered to attend Drug Treatment Court.
