  1. Hey says:

So the PLP move the dept to St David’s .. announced in 2010 and completed in 2012. 6 years later they are moving them again….This does not make any sense.

    • Question says:

It’s PLP “logic”. Facts and common sense don’t come into it.

  2. MAD says:

So it is alright for teachers and students to be unhealthy buildings? Make them work out of the empty classrooms. If the bulidings are good for teachers they are good enough for them. And one week before school! But it is just our children people will shut up even the BUT.

    • David says:

You are correct. The PLP are “in power” now, so don’t expect any “People’s Campaign”/PLP-led protests. Just learn to laugh at the hypocrisy and enjoy the peace and quiet :)

  3. wondering says:

    Always something before school starts!

  4. Truth is killin' me... says:

Usually you find a suitable place before closing and moving them. A$$ BACKWARDS!

  5. Suspicious says:

Rather odd revelation. So what exactly is the safety issue. The PLP rushed to move the DOE headquarters to Southside years ago amidst speculation of the building being unhealthy. Now a rush to move out one week before school. Meanwhile the Minister is on Instagram bragging about his chauffeur driver picking him up in London. Really?! No announcement of Commissioner, no announcements of school principals….and school starts next week! Every year education starts badly and ends badly. It’s like a repeat of the same old same old….but no one marching…

    • Pondering says:

These “issues” wouldn’t have been there before they moved in ??

  6. redrose says:

why now just before the new school year starts?

    • Question says:

Like it matters. They don’t do anything useful to begin with.

  7. Honestly says:

There have been several employees falling ill in this building!! They should’ve probably moved 2 years ago but no one listened to them. What it is …they are now seeing what they saw a long time ago!! Trust me it’s urgent. But you didn’t hear that from me!!

  8. Smith says:

Last Year There were position not filled and staff doing the job without being paid! So much for Bermudians First….. W

    • Honestly says:

Let’s not forget…it’s who you know if you are promoted! Maybe too many friends and family to decide!

  9. JLG says:

Lol is this a joke? Teachers, students, principals and school staff are okay to work in such conditions, but the ministry staff are not! Such BS!

  10. Honestly says:

Let’s not forget…it’s who you know if you are promoted! Maybe too many friends and family to decide!

  11. Tom Cooke says:

    Town…Here we come….

  12. Athena says:

Way beyond time that we have an Education Authority, run by a group who use common sense and a Chairman/woman who is from the Sage committee!
