A spokesperson said, “The time has finally come for the newly selected hosts of ‘The T’ Talk Show to show us what they’ve got.
“The final selection from the competition that ended on May 5th of this year includes Patricia Pogson-Nesbitt, Director of Performances and high school drama teacher; Aziza Furbert, a stay at home mom of two and freelance marketing representative; Teneika Eve, college lecturer and chef; Marlene Juliet Flynn, active church member and corporate administrator; Kristin White, entrepreneur and social butterfly; and adjunct host Sharlene Sousa, health and fitness enthusiast.
“Gino Group, in association with Crimson Multimedia, will be filming six shows as a part of the pilot season of ‘The T’ Talk Show at the Daylesford Theatre to begin Friday, August 10th and end on Sunday, August 12th; all shows will be filmed in front of a live studio audience and are free to attend.
“Filming will begin on Friday, August 10th at 6:00pm with the topic of discussion being “Should basic healthcare be free for all throughout the Caribbean?” with a second taping that evening at 9:00pm covering the topic of “Skin bleaching on the rise”.
“On Saturday, August 11th there will be three tapings beginning at 1:00pm with the topic of discussion being “Why is the cost of education so high?” to follow a 4:00pm filming on “Why is there so much cancer?”. The final filming on Saturday will be at 7pm and will speak about “Absent fathers, is this the main problem in the black community?” and has proven to be a hot topic as those seats are going very fast.
“We conclude filming for the pilot on Sunday, August 12th at 3pm and discuss “Same Sex Marriage vs Civil Unions” and expect each show to be well attended as seating is limited.”
Executive producer Amir X of Gino Group said, “It gives me great pleasure to finally offer the Caribbean a talk show that deals with issues and subject matter that concerns our own communities, with six island ladies that can express views from a variety of perspectives that promote healthy dialogue and understanding”.
Executive producer Lamone Woods of Crimson Multimedia said, “Bermuda has the talent, the equipment, and the resources to compete on the global stage.”
“With ‘The T’ Talk Show, we have created an opportunity for six ethnic women of the diaspora to share their voices, opinions and perspectives with the world. It has been a great investment of time, money and heart. We believe we can create an international talk show and are out to prove just that.
“We can’t do it alone however, so thank you to all those who have supported this movement and those who continue to believe in what we are doing.”
“For those that have never been a part of a live studio audience, the time is now and acquiring the tickets are easy. Log on to our website and select the ‘Free Tickets’ tab at the top of the page. Look through the list of the six shows and select which ones you would like to attend. See you there.
