NSC North Field Closed To Prepare For Rugby
People are being reminded that the North Field at the National Sports Centre is closed due to preparations for the World Rugby Classic.
Craig Tyrrell, the NSC’s SVP Operations Manager, said: “We consider that it is dangerous for walkers, joggers and children on bikes while the trucks are moving around the track and workers are setting up tents and equipment for the week-long Classic.
“The Classic final day is Saturday, November 10, after which there will be a lot of activity as vendors break down the site, so the area should be safe to use by Monday, November 19.
“We do apologise for the inconvenience, but we take people’s safety extremely seriously and we do not want to see someone come to harm.”
This being the case, should we be able to use the national stadium track for free?
