Football: Wells, Lambe, Leverock And Smith

The island has footballers in action across Europe, with Nahki Wells, Reggie Lambe, Dante Leverock, and Jonte Smith playing for their respective teams in England and Estonia this weekend.

Nahki Wells in England

Nahki Wells and his Queens Park Rangers teammates unbeaten run came to an end at Blackburn as they went down to a late penalty at Ewood Park.

Reggie Lambe in England

Reggie Lambe’s teammate Paul Lewis scored his first goal at the Abbey Stadium for Cambridge United, as they made it three consecutive wins with a 1-0 win over Grimsby Town.

Dante Leverock in Estonia

Dante Leverock and his JK Navra Trans teammates went down 2 – 1 at home to FCI Levadia.

After a scoreless first half FCI Levadia would take the lead in the 48th minute when Roman Debelko, in the 70th minute it was 2 – 0 when Mark Roosnupp scored. JK Navra Trans pulled a goal back in the 87th minute when Viktor Plotnikov scored, but they could not find the equalizer.

Jonte Smith in England

Goals from Michael Dome-Bemwin and Ronnie Conlon helped Jonte Smith and his Lewes teammates to a  2-1 victory over Harlow Town, a fourth consecutive league win which moves the Rooks up to third in the Bostik League Premier table.
