News that Camryn Swan signed a modeling contract in the UK, the six cruise ships calling on Halloween marked the largest number of cruise ship passengers to visit Bermuda in one day, a charity golf tournament raised $12,500 for Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre, and Aaliyah Nolan was named the Conference USA Offensive Player of Week were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Vanessa James and Morgan Cipres won in Skate Canada pairs, Reggie Lambe was featured on a football programme, Harbour Gold Squad dominated at the Gus Ryder Memorial Cup, new student leaders at Purvis Primary School, Joanne Ball-Burgess released a new music video for her song “Body Drop”, and Hamilton Princess & Beach Club staff donated blood and delivered gifts.
We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of the Cross Country Fort Scaur Race, a field hockey double header, three cruise ships arriving, the Hamburg cruise ship in St George’s, the MTM Red Ball Tennis Championships, the ‘Carnival Conquest’ arriving, Gold Point Archery action, the Bermuda Street Food Festival, and the AON National Sprint Triathlon.
