Police Confirm Death Of 74-Year-Old Cheryl Eve
The Bermuda Police Service have confirmed the death of 74-year-old Cheryl Eve following a fire in her Smiths parish apartment.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 74 year old Mrs. Cheryl Eve and extends sincere condolences to her family and friends.
“Mrs. Eve was found in an unresponsive state at home by a family member around 5:05pm Thursday, January 10th following a fire in her Verdmont Valley Drive, Smith’s parish apartment.
“Despite lifesaving efforts at the scene and as Mrs. Eve was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, sadly she was later pronounced dead.
“The scene has been processed by the relevant police personnel and inquiries continue regarding the cause of Mrs. Eve’s death as well as the cause of the fire.
“However, foul play is not suspected.”
