Visitor Fined $2,000 For Possessing Cannabis
Appearing in Magistrates Court, an American cruise ship visitor was fined $2,000 for possessing cannabis on board a cruise ship in Dockyard.
26-year old Daniel Diaz pleaded guilty to importing cannabis, with the Court hearing the defendant’s cabin was searched after they were alerted to a ‘funny smell’.
Diaz he wasn’t aware of Bermuda’s cannabis laws and apologized to his family, who were also in the courtroom, for ruining their vacation.
