Dee-AH Iris: Mothers Invited To Heal Together

April 10, 2019

Dee-AH Iris, whose son Steven “Jireh” Iris was killed in 2013, is inviting all mothers, grandmothers and godmothers who have lost children to join her on Saturday, May 11 at Hamilton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, saying that “together we are a stronger force than if we act alone.”

Noting that Mother’s Day is still hard for her, Ms Iris said she wants to be part of the change she wants to see in the world, and she says she feels the pain for all mothers who have lost children, and plans to have gifts for everyone who attends.

Ms. Iris told Bernews, “Steven Robinson and I lost our son, Steven “Jireh” Iris, prematurely to a stabbing, on Friday, August 23, 2013 and our lives forever changed.

“Almost 6 years later, I still grieve and Mother’s Day is still hard for me. I want to be part of the change I want to see in the world, so please share with all of those mothers, female guardians, god-mothers, foster mothers, adopted mothers, and grandmothers, who have lost children due to untimely deaths, violence, still-born, miscarriage, bike accident, sickness, etc. to join with me on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Hamilton Seventh-Day Adventist Church, at 11:00am for prayer and a special gift that I have for each one of you.

“Together we are a stronger force than if we act alone. Please feel free to email me on deeahiris@gmail.com or call me on 704-6355. Please RSVP to ensure that I have enough gifts for each one of you. I will bring extra just in case.

“I love you all and feel your pain. Please pass this along. I want the Church to be packed. I look forward to hearing from you soon,” she added.
