Somerset Win Veterans All-Star Classic
The R.O. Smith 25th Anniversary Annual Over 40’s Veteran All-Stars Classic was a great day for the players and fans as the Somerset team came from 2 – 0 down to defeat St. George’s 4 – 2.
Derek Wright and Stephen Dickinson gave St. George’s the lead in the first half, but Somerset would get goals from Dwight Basden, Daron Minors and Sean Riley as they took a 3 – 2 lead at the break.
The lone goal in the second half was worth the wait as Reggie Tucker controlled the ball on the top of the box and dribbled to his left and unleashed a shot that went in off the crossbar.
