The Bermuda Volleyball Association has awarded bursaries to Daniella Stegmann, Kayley Hamilton, Joshua Blee and Jaden Malpas, saying they have demonstrated a “strong commitment and enthusiasm to the sport.”

A spokesperson said, “Annually, the Bermuda Volleyball Association gives out two bursary awards in the amount of $1,000 to deserving young volleyball players who want to pursue training overseas as a part of the Junior Development Program.

“This year the BVA made the gracious decision to increase the number of bursary awards from two to four. The Bursaries have been awarded to the following individuals: Daniella Stegmann, Kayley Hamilton, Joshua Blee and Jaden Malpas. Congrats to all of them!

“These individuals have showed a strong commitment and enthusiasm to the sport and their dedication has been evident through through their efforts at training. Each of them has already decided on a camp overseas where they would like to improve upon their skills with instructors and access to training that they can’t get on the island.

“We are extremely proud of these individuals and we look forward to seeing how they improve on their skills and the talents that they can bring to Bermuda in the future.”
