Girlguiding International Camp August 19-23
Girlguiding Bermuda will be hosting an international camp dubbed “Branches Break Out Bermuda” on Paget Island from August 19 to August 23.
A spokesperson said, “Girls and leaders from our branches – UK Overseas Territories: Gibraltar, St. Helena, Cayman, Falklands, Scotland, North East England and Bermuda – will be celebrating 100 years of Guiding in Bermuda.
“All campers will be taking part in the Outward Bound Program led by Mr. Anton Gilbert; there will be swimming, snorkeling at Tobacco Bay, archery at South Side St. Georges, sailing with USAIL in Harrington Sound, and participating in various activities at Fun Worxs at Clearwater Beach, including swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, hydro boats, paddle boats, and electric scooters.
“They will also experience outdoor cooking, raft building, campfires, and team building activities.
“Our opening ceremony will take place on Monday, August 19 at 8:00 in the town square in St. Georges. Come out and experience it.
“A great week is in store for all.”
