Advisory: Sub Post Offices Lunchtime Closures
From October 28 – November 6, various sub post offices will be closed over the lunchtime due to staff meetings.
A Government Spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Post Office [BPO] is advising that from tomorrow, October 28 – November 6, its sub post offices will be closed from 12.00 p.m. and 1.30 p.m.
“The lunchtime closures are in an effort to facilitate staff meetings to seek feedback on efficiency, customer service and other operational matters.
“Closures at the sub post offices are as follows:
- Monday, October 28th – Flatts Post Office
- Tuesday, October 29th – Devonshire Post Office
- Wednesday, October 30th – Warwick Post Office
- Thursday, October 31st – Mangrove Bay Post Office
- Friday, November 1st – Southampton Post Office
- Tuesday, November 5th – Crawl Post Office
- Wednesday, November 6th – St. George’s Post Office
Does this mean the staff will be more customer friendly?
“to facilitate feedback on efficiency, customer service….” what does that even mean? Customer service and efficiency no longer seem to matter in Bda. so what makes the post office any different? Unless the staff are going to get issued some sort of ultimatum it is all a big waste of time. Meanwhile customer service and efficiency will be impacted by the closure so it really is funny – in a sick sort of way.
Only in, incompetent, Bermuda would you close a Post Office at lunchtime. The primary time people can head out of their places of work to actually visit the Post Office.
They could improve customer service by being actually open at lunchtime.
Clowns.
