Football: Premier & First Division Results
Devonshire Colts, Vasco, Wolves, North Village Rams, Dandy Town Hornets, Southampton Rangers, and Somerset Eagles all claimed victories in this weekend’s Premier Division and First Division football action.
First: Devonshire Colts 5 Young Men Social Club 1
At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the Devonshire Colts defeated Young Men Social Club 5 – 1, the Devonshire Colts got two goals each from Diego Richardson and Chemarl Henry, while their other goal was an own goal. Dakhari Wade scored the lone goal for Young Men Social Club.
First: Hamilton Parish 1 Vasco 7
At the Wellington Oval, Vasco came from a goal down and defeated Hamilton Parish 7 – 1. Kneiko Richardson gave Hamilton Parish the lead in the sixth minute, but Ricardo Medeiros and Ryan Lopes both scored twice for Vasco, who also got single strikes from Jorge Costa, Ricardo Ponte and Eduardo Viera.
First: Wolves 2 St. David’s 0
At the Garrison Field, Wolves got a goal in each half to defeat St. David’s 2 – 0. Enaharo Sharrieff-Holdipp scored in the 35th minute and Sergio Richardson scored in the 80th minute.
Premier: Somerset Trojans 0 North Village Rams 1
The North Village Rams traveled to the Somerset Cricket Club to take on the Somerset Trojans in their Premier Division battle.
A lone goal from Jaizel Smith-Deshields earned the North Village Rams the three points.
Premier: Devonshire Cougars 1 Dandy Town Hornets 2
At the Devonshire Recreation Club visiting Dandy Town Hornets defeated the Devonshire Cougars 2 – 1. The Dandy Town Hornets got goals from Oneko Lowe and Angelo Simmons, while Trey Tucker pulled a goal back for the Devonshire Cougars.
Premier: X’Road’s 3 Robin Hood 3
At the Garrison Field, Robin Hood threw away a 3 – 1 lead and drew 3 – 3. Robin Hood got single strikes from Justin Corday, Chae Brangman and Aaron Nelson, while X-Road’s got single strikes from Paul Simons, Donavan Thompson and Daniel Baker.
Premier: PHC Zebras 0 Southampton Rangers 3
Three first half goals for visiting Southampton Rangers earned them a 3 – 0 win over the PHC Zebras at the PHC Stadium.
Damon Ming, Cardell Henry and Jarazinho Bassett all found the back of the net for the Southampton Rangers.
Premier: Somerset Eagles 2 Boulevard Blazers 0
At the White Hill Field, the Somerset Eagles defeated the Boulevard Blazers 2 – 0.
The Somerset Eagles got first half goals from Tahj Wade and Teniko Eve to claim all three points.
