Football: Kole Hall Scores In Radcliffe FC Defeat

Bermuda’s Kole Hall scored for Radcliffe FC as they played to a 2-1 loss against Farsley Celtic.

The club’s match report said, “Radcliffe FC crashed out of the FA Cup after a 2-1 defeat to Farsley Celtic at a rainy Cinadel. Jimmy Spencer netted a brace to cancel out Kole Hall’s second half strike.

“It was a very even start to the game as both sides tried to get into a rhythm on the wet pitch.

“The deadlock was broken with eight minutes on the clock. A long ball over the top was well watched and controlled by Jimmy Spencer who then fired past Cam Belford in the Boro goal.

“Spencer again caused Boro a problem as he hit wide of the mark 15 minutes into the game.

“Fowler’s side continued to grow into the first period. A good passage of play with 20 minutes on the clock led to a cross from Curtis Obeng but it flew over the bar.

“With 30 minutes on the clock, Captain Matty Crothers fired goal wards but his shot was well watched by Drench in the Celtic goal.

“The Boro continued to pile the pressure on as the half went on. Luca Navarro stung the hands of Drench again after a quick free kick from Crothers.

“Navarro again force the Celtic goalkeeper into another save after a powerful shot goal wards.

“Spencer grabbed a second just before half time. He forced Jonathan Royle into a mistake which left just Belford between him and a goal. He dispatched to double his sides lead going into the break.

“The Boro went into the break behind after playing some good football throughout.

“Fowler’s men started the second half on the front foot. Andy Owens had a golden opportunity to get the Boro back into the game but he headed wide of the mark.

“Just moments later Radcliffe had another huge chance. Navarro ran clear of the Celtic defence but his dink went wide of the goal.

“Substitute Kole Hall got the Boro back into the game with his first touch. He tapped home at the near post after a great cross from Navarro again.

“Ben Atkinson dance his way into the box for the home side but he dragged his shot wide of the mark.

“As the end of the game loomed. Belford was called into action. He was forced into a brilliant fingertip save to keep Radcliffe fighting.

“The Boro couldn’t find a way through the Celtic defence in the final moments as their FA Cup journey came to an end.”
