Results: Dudley Eve Football Competition

In recent action in the Dudley Eve football competition, the North Village Rams defeated Robin Hood by a score of 1-0, while the match between the Dandy Town Hornets and PHC Zebras ended in a draw.

Group B: Dandy Town Hornets 3 – PHC Zebras 3

The Dandy Town Hornets and the Devonshire Cougars advanced to the Dudley Eve semi-finals out of Group B.

The Dandy Town Hornets took an early lead in the match, with former PHC Zebras captain Cecoy Robinson finding the back of the net in the 14th minute.

In the 49th minute, Angelo Simmons doubled the Dandy Town Hornets lead, but PHC Zebras got themselves back into the match when Kushae Hypolite scored. Minutes later, PHC missed a penalty, only to concede a goal from Angelo Simmons as Dandy Town Hornets extended their lead to 3 – 1.

Enrique Russell pulled the PHC Zebras back into the game in the 80th minute when he scored; two minutes later, the score was level as Joshua Joseph scored to make it 3 – 3.

Minutes later, the PHC Zebras had the chance to take the lead when they were awarded yet another penalty, but the kick hit the upright, leaving the teams deadlocked at 3 – 3.

Group A: North Village Rams 1 – Robin Hood 0

The North Village Rams needed to win this match against Robin Hood to have any chance of reaching the Dudley Eve semi-finals.

The North Village Rams took a 1 – 0 lead to the break after Jaizel Smith-Deshields found the back of the net.

Smith-Deshields’ goal was the only goal of the game, giving the North Village Rams the win and also leaving all three teams in the group with the same points and the same goal difference as each team won 1 – 0.
