Lewis & NoBoundaries Finish World Ekiden
Bermuda’s Female Athlete of the Year Jessica Lewis and her teammates have completed the ASICS World Ekiden 2020.
Lewis — the Team Captain of #NoBoundaries — and her teammates finished 581st out of 8,408 teams, and they were 5th out of 35 teams in the Mixed with Wheelchair Division.
#NoBoundaries completed the total 42.195km distance in a time of 3:05:33.
Lewis’ 5km time of 16:12 saw her finish 56th.
The rest of her team included Arina Nicolaisen from South Africa who completed her 5km in 25:51, Louzanne Coetze from South Africa did a 10km in 41:23, and Efrain Sotacuro from Peru did his 7.195km in 23:38.
Atsushi Yamamoto from Japan competed his 5km in 36:38, and Alex Pires da Silva from Brazil clocked a time of 41:52 over his 10km distance.
