Police: 911 Number Now Back In Service

[Updated] “The 911 emergency telephone number is temporarily out of service,” the police said this evening [Jan 13].

A spokesperson said, “Residents in need of immediate police assistance are advised to call 211 or 295-0011 until further notice. An update will be provided as soon as normal operation of the 911 emergency telephone number is restored.”

Update 6.05pm: The police added, “In addition, the following phone numbers can also be used to contact police until the 911 emergency telephone number is restored:

  • 292-5590
  • 295-0012
  • 292-1707
  • 292-7403
  • 295-0064

Update 6.52pm: The police said, “The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that the 911 emergency telephone number is now operational and would like to thank the public for their patience while the technical issue that caused the outage was fixed.”
