Artist Alana James Paints Premier Burt’s Portrait
Premier David Burt visited the Bermuda Society of Arts to view what he called a “fantastic portrait of himself,” painted by Bermudian artist Alana James, noting that he was “honoured to be the subject.”
Premier Burt tweeted the photo below, saying: “I visited the Bermuda Society of Arts to view a fantastic portrait of myself, painted by young Bermudian artist Alana James. Alana created this piece to challenge her artistry and I am honoured to be the subject. I wish her the best as she continues to progress as an artist.
“The Bermuda Society of Arts Member’s Winter Exhibition is currently running until Feb 10th features all local artists. I encourage you to visit and support local talent. The gallery is open from 10am-4pm through the week, and 10am-2pm on Saturdays.
“If you are an emerging Bermudian artist, become a member and submit your artwork for display!”
