Alleged Trump Cruise Promo Twitter Suspended
A Twitter account that was connected with a purported Trump victory cruise to Bermuda has been suspended, with the account previously embedded on the website promoting the alleged cruise to Bermuda.
While there is no confirmed reason as to why the account was suspended, the account was sharing conspiracy theories related to the U.S. election, and Twitter has publicly said that following the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capital they permanently suspended thousands of accounts that were “primarily dedicated to sharing QAnon content,” and “more than 70,000 accounts have been suspended.”
“These accounts were engaged in sharing harmful QAnon-associated content at scale and were primarily dedicated to the propagation of this conspiracy theory across the service,” Twitter said.
The purported cruise to Bermuda the Twitter account was promoting claimed, on a new website that wanted people to pay via Paypal, that it was to celebrate the re-election of Donald J. Trump, who did not actually win re-election. The website continues to promote the alleged cruise, and it has not removed the now suspended Twitter feed yet, resulting in a blank area on one section of the website.
