Rosemary Jones Steps Down From The BTA
Rosemary Jones has stepped down as the Bermuda Tourism Authority’s Director of Corporate Communications & Strategy to “pursue an opportunity in the private sector.”
She joined the BTA in 2019 as the Director Of Corporate Communications & Strategy, where she was “responsible for the implementation, on-going review, and evolution of the island’s National Tourism Plan, coordinating and managing multiple departmental teams and outside stakeholders” and the ”two-way communication with local media and industry stakeholders, among other essential duties.”
“Rose has been a tremendous asset to this organisation,” said BTA Interim CEO Glenn Jones.
“We’ll be hard-pressed to find a replacement who can match her work ethic or cares about the success of Bermuda tourism more than she does.
“I’m very confident she’ll be an absolute success as she moves into the next chapter of her exciting career.”
“It’s been a privilege to serve our tourism industry and work with the incredibly talented team at the BTA—particularly through a period of extraordinary challenge for the sector,” said Rosemary Jones.
“Bermuda is so fortunate to have the dedication and discipline of this organisation to drive local advocacy and global marketing of our hospitality sector, and its mandate has never been more critical. I wish Glenn and the whole BTA team continued success in this collective national mission.”
The job is now being advertised on the BTA website.
Maybe it is just me but it would appear a lot of good people are leaving BTA.
But she just got there…
