Kappa Classic Postponed To April 2022

March 26, 2021

The Kappa Classic — which was originally scheduled for March 2020 – has been postponed to April 2022.

Craig Tyrrell from the Kappa Classic Committee said, “On behalf of the Men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Bermuda Alumni Chapter [BAC], I would like to inform you that we have decided to postpone the Kappa Classic, originally scheduled for March 2020 to April 2022.

“This decision was not taken lightly, but made with the knowledge that the Bermuda Football Association [BFA] has scrapped its current season and will be looking to start back up in September.

“We have received a number of queries with respect to the status of the event by sponsors, coaches, parents and even players! But we believe that this is in the best interest for all as we believe giving the BFA an opportunity to start their leagues and create, test and amend protocols will only assist us in producing another spectacular event.

“With the length of time between events we recognize that the composition of your teams will look very different. We therefore plan to reimburse all registration fees as we are sure that you could benefit from having those funds in hand during these times.

“I will reach out to the club representatives separately to confirm banking details over the next few days but if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Again, we thank you for your commitment to this tournament and we look forward to the day when we can blow that first whistle and witness the excited faces of the young participants.”
