A BFRS spokesperson said, “At 4:53am on March 20 2021, Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service Dispatch revived a report of a vehicle on fire at Parsons Road and St Augustines Hill, Pembroke

“BFRS responded with one appliance from the Hamilton Fire Station with a total of four firefighters. On arrival, fire crews found one car light truck fully involved in flames. Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames using foam. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation.”

This is the latest of a series of vehicle fire incidents; earlier this week the police confirmed they are investigating an incident in which someone “tried to set fire to a truck” parked in Pembroke, and the police are also investigating a fire that destroyed a car and five motorcycles parked outside a Pembroke residence, which they said is “being considered suspicious.”

    • Cotton Wool Brigade says:

Seeing as the call came during curfew hours, should we not consider that this is merely another “mutant strain” of the dreaded ‘vid?!! Definitely more virulent, but hopefully less contagious

  2. has been for a while says:

Theres been a Arsonist for years now…. sad it took so long for the BPS to figure this out… first was parks, now is derelict vehicles, next will be a building with people in it. nip it now BPS before it steps up to more than it has been already

  3. puzzled says:

It’s quite obvious that this is Gang related.
