  1. Lara says:

I understand the Premier will discuss vaccinations tomorrow, and I’m told he will pander politically and not incentivise individuals to get immunised. If people will not immunise, the Government has a duty to penalise those people. Make them quarantine longer, do not allow them to visit restaurants, bars, non-essential shops, the airport. The science says they are more dangerous than I am.

And if he won’t, he is as culpable as they are. This is not a political issue Premier Burt.

    • Jevon Ray says:

This vaccine is mandatory? How can the Government penalize people for something that’s not a law? You must think this is Nazi Germany in it?

    • trufth says:

So let me get this straight, you are saying people should be forced by the govt to be injected with an experimental liquid?

Do you not see anything wrong with that?

    • Mark says:

      Hi Lara,
What a wonderful idea. While you’re at it maybe you could lead a secret Government wing to hunt down all those dangerous miscreants. Maybe call it something catchy like the Gestapo?

  2. Nonsense says:

    What nonsense.
It is estimated that 30% of the people in the UK have already had Covid and are therefore also “immune” with natural antibodies. They will contribute to the 70% “holy grail” number touted to achieve herd immunity.
Should these people also be subjected to your infantile restrictions?
How about Bermuda offers and supports antibody testing as the UK does so we can actually be informed and all work to achieve open, honest and transparent results.
Why the great secrecy with respect to natural immunity? It achieves the same result essentially.

  3. LOL - the real one says:

The government has a duty to penalize people such as yourself, for demanding that the government penalize people. You know nothing of “science” and yes, your attitude makes you more dangerous. The Premier was fully immunized and he still caught the virus. Immunized people can still carry and spread the virus and variants. Your current immunization is not 100% effective against every variant. That is the “science.”

You should be let out to mingle in the general population when there is a vaccine for the Stupid-2021 virus.

  4. Common Sense says:

Yes, the premier has tested +ve for the virus, but evidence has shown that fully immunized people who test +ve are both extremely unlikely to become ill and, because of very low viral load, unlikely to spread the virus to others. Sounds good to me!

  5. No To Drugs says:

Ok, so the premier has covid, the vaccine did what it was supposed to do. All drugs do what it is supposed to do.You play with fire, you get burnt.

Maybe if he injected vitamins he would have better health. He chose to mess with drugs and share. I JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS!!

  6. Common Sense says:

The vaccine may not stop people from testing +ve for Covin, but it will stop you from getting ill from it and will greatly reduce the chance of spreading it to others. We all need the economy to get moving again and the quicker people are vaccinated, the better. Which would you prefer; the vaccine with minimal adverse effect ; or risk Covid with all the well proven short and long term risk to life and long term health.
By the way: Why would the Premier inject vitamins when he can get them in his diet?!
