Tobacco Bay Beach To Open On Mother’s Day
Tobacco Bay Beach is set to launch its season opener on Sunday [May 9], representing “the much anticipated return of Bermuda’s beach economy, and the start to a hopefully strong tourism season.”
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda’s award winning full service beach, Tobacco Bay, is launching its season opener on Sunday, May 9th with rentals, bar, and limited kitchen offerings. Tobacco Bay’s opening represents the much anticipated return of Bermuda’s beach economy, and the start to a hopefully strong tourism season.
“Emcee and DJ Nadunja Bailey will host opening day at Tobacco Bay with his favourited ‘Backyard Corona Party’ for everyone to enjoy, especially mom since this Sunday is her day after all. Tobacco Bay is the perfect after brunch/lunch spot to get away, sit off, and relax in the sun while you listen to some great music and sip on delicious cocktails.
“After the Mother’s Day kickoff opening, Tobacco Bay will be open Thursdays through Sundays for a few weeks, and then going full steam ahead beginning the middle of June alongside our sister beach, Snorkel Park.”
Owner Dennie O’Connor said, “This is it Bermuda! Time to kick off your summer right and leave those long dreary lockdown days in the past. With three of our exceptional locations to chose from, White Horse Pub & Restaurant, Tobacco Bay, and Snorkel Park opening mid/end of June, all WTTC Safe Travel Certified, you’ll be sure to have a fun, safe summer.
“As long as we continue to practice Covid safety, and adhere to the rules and curfew, there’s is no reason we can’t all have an enjoyable, memorable summer. The time is now to support your local restaurants, bars, and businesses. And if you’re in the east, be sure to check out the additional outdoor seating on Ordnance Island, thanks to the Corporation of St. George’s.”
