‘You Go Girl’ Event To Be Held Virtually
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s You Go Girl Relay event will be held virtually on Sunday [June 6].
The event organisers said, “Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our physical gathering for this event for June 6, 2021 due to the continuing situation with the Covid-19 pandemic.
“But we do want to support the Women’s Resource Centre, which we do every year, because this year it is more important than ever.

“We are asking that you consider entering anyhow as a form of donation, even if we can’t have the physical event. Please consider supporting us and all proceeds will be donated to the Women’s Resource Centre.
“Our wonderful sponsors are OIL Insurance, U by Kotex, Meyer Group of Companies, and Argo. The event is organized by Mid Atlantic Athletic Club.
“Enter as an individual or as a team [teams can be unlimited]. The entry fee is $30 per person.
“All money donated or paid will be donated to the Women’s Resource Centre.
“Packet pickup is on Saturday, June 5 from 10.00am to 12.00pm at the Butterfield and Vallis warehouse on Woodlands Road in Hamilton. You can drive in and we will bring your very special pint glass and your classy clutch bag filled with goodies.
“Please wear your masks. It would be helpful if you could display the name or names of participants for whom you are picking up. That way we can keep traffic moving. You can also park your car somewhere else and walk to us [limited to the first 400].
“You will receive an email with a number that you can print at home, or find your name on Find a Participant on the website and select and print the number displayed.
“Take pictures of yourself in your best dressed ‘decked out for the decade’ outfit and post to our Facebook page. Don’t forget to wear your number for the pictures.
“Whilst we are doing our part to ensure everyone’s continued safety during these uncertain times, we really, really, want to continue to provide our annual donation to the Women’s Resource Centre.“
